CANCELED: Piano Recital III. – Eva Cáhová

CANCELED: Piano Recital III. – Eva Cáhová

Chopin‘s Preludes Op. 28, laconic, though filled with most diverse emotions, are the quintessence of the creation of this „poet of the piano“. The concept of 24 preludes has among other things inspired Dmitri Shostakovich, who enriched the scale of emotions by grotesque and sarcasm. The top Piano Sonatas by Franz Schubert are a tough nut for the performer. During almost 45 minutes the pianist must deal with uncommon solutions of the musical structure and with the exceptionally strong emotionality. Also Eugen Suchoň demands high standards of the soloist in the excellent cycle Metamorphoses – in the piece which literally required the orchestral version. In the line of the „serious variations“ Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy chose rather the tactics of the experienced mannerist and sovereign.
